Bulldozing Barriers: Reflections of Juneteenth & Diversity in Miami

Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the U.S. is right around the corner! Historically designated on June 19th, it’s a day for ALL of us to recognize and celebrate. For MCCJ, a non-profit organization that advocates for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, Juneteenth is also an opportunity to reflect with ourselves and one another in active dialogue and strategize for a better future. As part of the “Can We Talk, Can We Really Talk?” series, MCCJ presents, “Bulldozing Barriers: Reflections of Juneteenth & Diversity in Miami” – an effort to encourage continuous self-development and respect, not just for the black community, but for people of all backgrounds, specifically in the context of the greater Miami area.
